かじられた耳 Bitten Ear

 

Jimmy's nightmare before Xmas.

先週の土曜日、いつものお散歩中に悲劇は起こりました。

 

同じようにリードでつながれ散歩していた犬と喧嘩になり、なんと右耳を噛みちぎられてしまったのです。

 

傷は見ての通り痛々しいですが、元気にしています。

はやく治るといいんだけど・・・。

 

ボクシングを習えば次回は勝てるかも？

 

Last Saturday, during my daily walk I had a very bad experience!  It was like a nightmare!

There I was, walking on my leed when I had an unfriendly encounter with a rival K9.

 

I lost a little of my right ear however the other dog lost alot more. 

 

Not to worry as it looks worse than it feels.  Hopefully, it will heal as quick as my pride.

Maybe I should take up boxing!

 

 

 

 

 

川エビ Shrimp Mummy

事務所内の小さな水槽で川エビを飼っています。

お腹にたくさんの卵を抱えていますが、水温が低いからなのかなかなか産まれません。

川エビの子供たちは、母エビのお腹の中で孵化するそうですよ。

稚エビの誕生が楽しみです。

 

We have shrimp in a small fish tank sitting on our reception desk.

One of them is expecting to give birth anyday now.

Due to the low water temp. it will take longer than we thought.

Did you know, shrimp give birth to their young while the eggs are still in the mother's stomach?

防災の日 Disaster Preparedness Day (September 1st.)

9月1日は防災の日でしたね。
 
1923年のこの日に発生した関東大震災にちなんで定められたそうです。
 
気候変動のせいか台風や集中豪雨、竜巻などのような自然災害は各地で毎年のように起きてい
 
ます。　今までに経験したことのない災害が起きたら、どうしますか？

避難経路や非常用品などの備えは万全か、この機会にもう一度見直しましょう。
 
The day was established to memorialize the Great Kanto Earthquake, which occurred on this day in 1923. 

Disasters such as typhoons torrential rain and tornadoes occur every year in Japan.  It is assumed this is caused from climate change.

Most people go over their emergency food, water, escape route and how to contact with missing family around this time every year.

What would you do if a natural disaster occurred that was heavier than you had ever experienced before?

Wet Dog

突然の梅雨明け、平年より１３日早かったそうですね。

そして連日３５℃越えの猛暑。セミも慌てて鳴き始めました。

朝からシャワーを浴びてスッキリ！

Japan Meteorological Agency announced the end of the rain season in this area on July 8th.

It was 13days earlier than average.   Max. temperature has been over 35 degrees this week.

Cicadas came out from the ground in a hurry and already buzzing.

I took a shower this morning. It felt so nice!

I look like a wolf...

スイカ WATERMELON




wanna go for a walk!!!

台風も去り、曇り空のせいか涼しい日が続いています。

 

時々日差しはあるものの、朝晩は過ごしやすいです。

 

今日はみんなで甘い西瓜をいただきました (^-^)v

 

もちろんジミーは食べられませんでした。。。

 

It has been comfy days since the typhoon has been.

 

Sometimes, the sun came out from behind the gray clouds but, it's not so humid.

 

Work mates had a sweet watermelon :)

 

I could not eat it, of course!

 

 

梅雨入りしました。 Rainy Season Has Begun!

 

毎日ジメジメしてて嫌ですね～。

洗濯物も乾かないし。

事務所前に植えたトマト達も太陽の光が恋しそうです。。。

This year the rainy season has set in earlier than usual.

I don't like such damp and moist air and it takes long time to dry laundry.

Petite tomatoes planted in front of the office want the sun shine, too!
